Sara is a Kansas-grown author of the fantasy persuasion. The voices in her head have been whispering their stories to her since she was little, and she finally gave in and started writing them down thanks to the encouragement of her 8th grade English teacher. She's been known to try on many different genres, anything from metaphysical to memoir, horror to haiku, but she is most comfortable writing about the fantastical things she is convinced are waiting for her just around the corner. Until she finds the right corner, she writes about those things instead.
About this Blog:
I had all but given up on my dream of becoming a writer; I've been rejected by eight MFA programs since I finished my bachelor's degree in 2006, and unless you are Stephen King, who can actually make a living writing? Over the years I've come to realize that I already am a writer, MFA program be damned, and that I still have plenty of time to work towards getting published. So on my 30th birthday I set myself the goal to have at least one novel published by my 40th birthday. I gave myself ten years to make my dream come true, and this blog is going to help me get there.
